The Location

Reunion and Encore sit side by side on the Osceola and Polk county line, about a mile apart, both reached from the same I-4 interchange at ChampionsGate. It is one of the rare spots in Central Florida where you can be at an Animal Kingdom turnstile in roughly ten minutes and still sleep somewhere quiet, gated, and green.

That combination is the whole reason people book here instead of a hotel on US-192. You get a whole house. Your own pool. A kitchen that can feed twelve people breakfast before rope drop. A theater room for the slow evenings in between park days. And when the parks are done, some of the best golf in Florida is sitting within a twenty minute drive in almost every direction.

About these drive times. These are typical off-peak driving times by car from the Reunion and Encore area, not walking distance or transit times. Add 15 to 20 minutes in either direction during morning rope drop and evening park close, and allow extra at Magic Kingdom for parking and the ferry or monorail crossing.

Golf

Golf Country, In Every Direction

This stretch of Osceola and Polk county holds one of the densest concentrations of golf anywhere in Florida. A lot of guests come for the parks and end up building a morning round into the trip.

Reunion itself was laid out around three championship courses, designed by Jack Nicklaus, Arnold Palmer and Tom Watson. It is the only resort in America with a course from each of those three names, which is why the community has the reputation it does among golfers. Our three bedroom condo looks straight out over the fairways from its balcony.

Beyond the gates, the ChampionsGate and Davenport corridor adds a long list of courses within a twenty to thirty minute drive, including plenty that take public tee times. If golf is the point of the trip rather than a bonus, tell us that when you enquire and we will point you at what is actually playable for your dates.

A Course Outside The Window

The three bedroom condo

Golf course frontage, with a furnished balcony looking over the fairway. Worth having even if nobody in the group plays, because it is a quiet green outlook rather than a car park.

When To Come For Golf

October through April

Central Florida's golf season runs through the cooler, drier months. January to March is the busiest and priciest stretch. Summer plays fine but expect heat and afternoon storms, so groups tee off early.

Sorting Your Tee Times

Ask before you book

Which courses you can play, and on what terms, depends on the individual home and on the resort's own arrangements. Give us your dates and we will confirm in writing what applies to that specific address before you pay anything.

Call (813) 343-2660

One thing worth being straight about. The courses inside Reunion are run by the resort, not by us, and play there is not automatically included with a vacation rental. That is true of every home in the community regardless of who you book it through. We are happy to tell you exactly where your chosen home stands, and to point you at nearby courses that take public tee times if that is simpler. What we will not do is let you arrive expecting something you have not actually got.

Beyond The Parks

Days You Did Not Plan For

Most groups build in at least one non-park day. There is plenty within reach.

Island H2O Water Park

About 10 minutes away at Margaritaville Resort Orlando. A full water park with slides and a lazy river, and a great change of pace between park days.

Disney Springs

Roughly 15 minutes, and no park ticket required. Dozens of restaurants, the big Disney store, live music and a boardwalk. The standard answer for an evening when nobody wants to cook.

Celebration

About 15 minutes. The town Disney built in the nineties, and genuinely pleasant to walk. Lakeside restaurants, a small cinema, and a farmers market on Sundays.

Old Town Kissimmee

Around 15 to 20 minutes east on US-192. An old-school strip of go karts, rides, arcades and a long-running Saturday night classic car cruise. Easy on the wallet, and a big hit with teenagers.

Airboats And Gators

Wild Florida and Gatorland are both an easy drive south and east. Airboat rides across the headwaters of the Everglades, and the closest most visitors get to Florida that is not paved.

Both Coasts In A Day

Cocoa Beach and the Atlantic are a bit over an hour east. The Gulf beaches around Clearwater and St. Pete are around an hour and a half west, where we manage a good number of homes if you ever fancy splitting a trip between the two.

Getting Here And Settling In

The Practical Bits

From The Airport

Orlando International is about 35 minutes out, roughly 27 miles, mostly on the 417 and I-4. Come off at I-4 Exit 58 onto CR-532 at ChampionsGate and you are a couple of minutes from either gate.

Groceries On Arrival

There is a Publix about five minutes away at Ovation on Lake Wilson Road, and another at ChampionsGate. Worth doing a proper shop on the way in from the airport. Feeding a big group out of the kitchen is most of the savings on a trip like this.

If Something Goes Wrong

Orlando Health has a 24 hour emergency room at Reunion Village, essentially at the same interchange, and there is urgent care in ChampionsGate. Our own line is answered by a person, not a queue, and we are local.

Getting Through The Gate

Both communities are gated with a staffed main entrance. We send your arrival details, gate instructions and door codes ahead of time, so you can drive straight in whatever time you land.

Parking

Free, on the property, with room for several cars. Plenty of space for the whole group to arrive in their own vehicles.

Before You Arrive

The lead guest signs a digital rental agreement and completes ID verification online, and has to be 25 or over. It takes a few minutes and it has to be done in advance, not at the door.

Questions

Straight Answers Before You Book

The things guests actually ask us, answered plainly.

They are two different communities that sit about a mile apart and share a name, which trips a lot of people up when they are booking.
  • Reunion Resort is the larger, older community, a little over 2,200 acres of golf course, villages, condos and homes.
  • Encore Resort at Reunion is a separate gated community just to the north. Homes only, its own front gate, its own amenities.
For your trip the practical difference is small, since the drive to the parks is nearly identical from both. It matters for one thing: community amenities are not shared between them, so whichever home you book, the amenities you can use are that community's.
Ask us before you book, and we will tell you exactly what your specific home comes with.

We would rather be blunt about this than have you find out at a gate. In these communities, access to shared resort facilities like water parks, golf and clubhouses is controlled by the resort and its HOA, not by us. It depends on the individual home and on membership arrangements attached to that property. It is not automatically included with every rental, anywhere in either community, no matter who you book through.

What you always get is the home itself and everything in it: the private pool, the spa, the theater room, the game room, the kitchen, the whole house. That is what we control and that is what we will promise you. For anything shared or resort operated, call us on (813) 343-2660 and we will confirm the current terms for that exact address in writing before you pay anything.

Roughly 10 minutes to the closest Disney gate and about 20 to Magic Kingdom, driving, outside of peak times.

Animal Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are the nearest. Magic Kingdom takes longest because after you park you still have the ferry or monorail crossing to Seven Seas Lagoon, so build in the extra time. During rope drop and park close, add 15 to 20 minutes to any of these.

Yes, plan on it. These are residential resort communities, not a hotel on Disney property, so there is no walking to a park entrance and no Disney transportation from your front door. You will want a car for the parks, for groceries and for golf. Parking at the home is free and there is room for several vehicles, which matters when a group arrives in three cars.
Our homes in this area sleep 8, 16 and 24 guests. If your group is bigger than one house holds, call us rather than booking online. We can look at pairing homes and at what else we have in the Orlando area for the same dates, which is not something the booking calendar can work out on its own.
Yes. The guest making the booking has to be at least 25. Before arrival you will sign a digital rental agreement and complete ID verification with a photo and a verification selfie. This is all done online in advance, it cannot be handled in person at check in.
Earlier than you think, especially for the large homes. There are only so many homes in Central Florida that sleep 24, and the groups that use them tend to rebook a year out.
  • Christmas and New Year: 6 to 12 months ahead
  • Spring break and March: 4 to 6 months ahead
  • Summer: 3 to 6 months ahead
  • September and early February: the quietest windows, and the best value
Golf season in Central Florida runs roughly October through April, so if the trip is built around tee times, the winter months book up on both fronts at once.
On a week in a large home, the platform service fee alone is usually several hundred dollars. Booking direct:
  • Saves up to 30% in channel fees lost to platforms like Airbnb and Vrbo
  • Gets you a more flexible cancellation policy, 14 days instead of 30
  • Reduced cleaning fee and zero markups
  • Puts you in touch with the people who actually manage the home, not a support queue
  • Lets us apply discounts that platforms do not allow us to pass on
